Along with Ron’s cartooning ministry/career, God has directed Ron to also work for The Navigators, a discipleship ministry organization. The Navigators is an international, interdenominational, Christian ministry that helps people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ as they navigate through life. The Navigators motto is to “know Christ, make Him known, and help others do the same.”

Ron’s role is to capture hearts for Christ among business people, professionals, entrepreneurs, and college faculty and staff in Kansas City and beyond through one-on-one discipleship, small group Bible studies, and large group presentations. Watch this video above to hear Ron describe how God called him to make this decision.

One-on-one Discipleship:

One-on-one relationships are at the heart of effective discipleship. In this fun video above, Curt “Cletus” Johnson explains it all in his winsome hillbilly manner. Ron himself was a weekly disciple of longtime Navigator Jake Combs for 34 years. This experience has proven effective as Ron invests himself in one-on-one relationships with men like Curt who can also invest themselves in others. As the Apostle Paul stated in his letter to his chief disciple Timothy … “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others” (2 Timothy 2:2).

Small Group Bible Study:

In this video above several participants from Ron’s various small groups give testimony to how the Lord uses Ron’s gifts for appropriating God’s Truths in a practical way. Ron has taught Sunday school classes and small group Bible studies for several years, and is now teaching the Word of God in workplace Bible studies and on college campuses around the Kansas City metro area.

Group Presentations:

God has opened the door for Ron to share his Christian testimony and teach about his work and faith all over the globe … including countries such as, Malaysia, Taiwan, Australia, and Guatemala. In this video above, New Zealand ventriloquist, Ray Cooper, shares about Ron’s visit to his country. Ron has also been a frequent teacher at YWAM’s University of Nations in Kona, Hawaii. Plus, he often speaks locally around Kansas City at Christian schools, churches, home school events, rescue missions, etc.
